Double beds in solid wood

The bed steals all the limelight in a master bedroom. The Scandola Mobili beds are in authentic solid wood, designed for a bedroom that makes over traditional classic and country styles in a contemporary design key.

The double bed is the pivot around which any master bedroom is arranged. We make beds out of solid wood to coordinate them with the other furniture in the master bedroom. Wardrobes, tall boys e bedside tables can be made to match in terms of finishes and lines in a room full of rural warm and charm achieved using the type of furniture you would expect to find in mountain huts, made over with contemporary lines.

Scandola Mobili’s classic double beds are the result of such an encounter: a rich collection in terms of dimensions and ideas, designed to furnish the bedroom. While the Tabià bed is most suited to country-style bedrooms, comparable to shabby chic and Provençal styles in terms of appeal, the Rondine and Arcanda beds have a lighter, slimmer appearance that is perfect for more modern homes, while the classic Erika bed looks wonderful in more rural settings surrounded by traditional or antique furniture. On the other hand, the Luna bed features simple lines and soft curves.

Talking about materials, all Scandola Mobili beds are made entirely of solid wood. Genuine wood is a material that offers timeless charm and guarantees the quality, soundness and passion typical of beautifully crafted furniture made by cabinet makers of old. There’s more to Scandola Mobili than just solid wood though: our catalogue also contains fabric-upholstered double beds and quilted inserts made with the care of a master tailor.  The Arcanda double bed offers the opportunity of pairing genuine spruce wood with fabric in an amazing headboard consisting in an upholstered insert framed by solid wood.

Very functional storage beds are also available: the Tabià and Luna beds are provided with a roomy storage base hidden away in the bedstead and accessed by a piston lift mechanism applied to the slatted bed base. A fully-upholstered bed with the same functions is also available. Scandola Mobili’s solid wood storage bed lift mechanism allows the slatted base to open up in two different ways: in the traditional tilted position to access to the storage space inside the bed and in a horizontal position to make the bed without having the bend over.

Scandola Mobili’s beds are available in standard sizes to fit 160×200 mattresses and in wider, king sizes for 180 cm wide mattresses. If different sizes are required, custom-sized beds are also available such as the “French” bed, a smaller double bed for 140-cm wide mattresses suitable for narrower bedrooms.
